What's everyone doing as far as wedding bands????

Do you pay for his and he pays for yours? Do you buy your own or does one person buy both???

We paid for them out of a joint savings account we set up for the wedding and have both contributed to.

Mine was way more $$ than his, so it made sense to 'share' the cost..

We are getting inexpensive bands in NY. When we are on HM in Aruba, we will get our real bands since jewelry is cheaper, I dont know necessarily who will pay for them

i did something a little unusual -- i had all of this unuseable, broken gold jewelry of my mom's, who passed away. My father gave me the idea to sell it and use the $$$ for our wedding bands so we could say that my mom bought them for us. So we did.

i paid for his, he paid for mine... BUT, he lost his wedding band on the honeymoon ( he flipped one of the resorts sailboats over, and it fell off into the water, becasue his hand was all slicked up with sunscreen).... SO, he told me since that was his fault, i didn't have to buy him a new one, so right after we got back from the honeymoon, he went and bought the same ring again... this time, he paid for it

i got 2 wedding bands and he only got one. he didn't want a fancy diamond ring, but i did get an all diamond one to match my e-ring.
but then we got a matching plain set. he'll wear that one all the time - i'll wear the plain one at work, cuz i really shouldn't wear anything fancy there.
we opened a credit card at the store and put them all on, and will both make payments towards it until the wedding and then we'll pay the balance off with 'gift' money.
