We also gave donations...

In memory of our late fathers, we made donations to AHA and ADA. We made our own scrolls - beautiful, I might add - and attached them to an organza bag filled w/ Lindt truffles. They were a big hit!! Good luck! :)

We also did a donation .. plus CDs .. and ...

tied wedding bells to bell shaped cards with personalized ribbon, which was left at each place setting, so people could ring the bells instead of bagging on their glasses. People had so much fun using them, that I almost regretted doing them! :D We donated to an animal organization to assist those who might have instead ended up being put to death once their careers are over .. it was sort of an appreciation gesture on our part for the industry we both do work for. The CD was a compilation of our favorite meaningful songs and those that were used for the major events at the reception .. it starts out with Going to the Chapel, and includes songs like True Companion, Everytime I Close My Eyes, I`ll Always Love You, My Girl (Father/Daughter), Top of the World (Cake Cutting), An Everlasting Love, and At Last (Last Dance), along with many others.

Win For Life Lottery Tickets

I wrote a poem to go with the tickets. We are putting the lottery tickets in cards with the poem and a 2002 penny. We are going to have the dj make an announcement so everyone will scratch them together. It will be neat to see if anyone wins anything.

We donated money to the Carol M Baldwin Breast Cancer Society. Then weplaced a card at each dinner plate stating that In Lieu of Favors we donated money to this foundation and then put a nice quote regarding Breast Canceer on the card. We got a lot of compliments from the guests. Especialy since a few guests have had breast cancer. Pick a charity that means something to you
