What's going on????

I just spoke with a travel agent from islands in the sun. I told them that I wanted to go to Tahiti for 10 days food included on Bora Bora & Moorea with OW bungalows and she quoted me a price of almost $9000! How did this happen? Did anyone get a lower price than that? I have my heart set on going there.

i researched it myself and that sounds about right. do some research online. search OW bungalow. thats what i did.

I personally did not look into Tahiti, but based on people that I know who did look into it, that sounds right. Maybe you can look at different hotels? Also, I bet the airfare is a killer too..

that's actually a normal price...tahiti was my first thought and i was told $12,000 for the same tier of hotels that i'm staying in hawaii where it is costing us about $7000....try the interent for some deals then book through liberty travel,they will match the price for you - they did for me

that sounds normal to me too. I have friends who went and I believe the spent at least that....

I am paying close to that for Hawaii (flight and hotels) w/o food!

yikes! that is a lot!! we are going but with all the packages we looked into, they weren't that high. if you want to stay in OW bungalows the entire time, it will be more expensive of course. and i suppose the time of the year factors into it to. we are going for 11 nights, 5 OW, 4 beach bungalow, and 2 in a regular room. we are only paying about $4500. that doesn't include airfare to la (thank you skymiles) or food. the food is pricey too from what i hear. if you want, i will give you the number of the travel agent we used (he is in california, found him on the web).

Hi Matt - Can you give me the name of the travel agent you used? I actually live in San Diego so that is great that he is in California! Also, what are the details of your stay. Which islands and hotels? Thanks so much!
