What should I do with the ring???

I remember reading somewhere that Liz Taylor has kept all of her engagement rings...there's your precedent

wait a month or so and be sure you want to part with it. then sell it and buy something amazing with the money.

Edit: not to be a Debbie downer but if there are any outstanding wedding expenses sell it and put the money toward that. Especially if he's not covering it all.

i voted for break it...

IMO if i kept it i woudl be upset...

if i turned it into another piece of jewerly i woudl still remember it.

if i sold it and bought somethign else i woudl still remember what i used to buy some other jewerly vacation etc. (or anythign that made me happy)

if i broke it... its more loss on his plate.

and if he asked for it back... and u tell him u broke it... OH WELL

Usually if the guy breaks it off, the girl KEEPS the ring...
If the girl breaks it off, she gives it back..
So I say keep it... And sell it!

this is EXACTLY why you DONT give it back...you are going to lose money you spent up until now so why should he get the ring back and make up the expense he paid.

If he does ask for it back, tell him first you want ALL the money you've lost so far then he can get it back

my friend was in this situation. She kept it. she needed to get paid for all the time she put into their relationship...and he thought it was a fair deal............

Legally he is entitled to it back. AN engagement ring is a gift in contemplation of marriage and no matter who breaks it off if the wedding is cancelled he is legally entitled to the ring.

On a personal note, I would definitely give it back. I wouldn't want something that everytime I looked at it it reminded me of him.

I would definitely sell it and buy something fabulous with the money. Or use the money to go on an amazing vacation. I would never give it back unless he specifically told me to give it back. (and I still dont know if I would )

as long as you legally dont have to give it back to him than i would either keep or it sell it (most likely i would sell it)

do you think he is going to try and get the ring back from you? if so, i wouldnt do anything with it yet just to be on the safe side......i have heard of guys suing to get an engagement ring back......i dont know the legal side of it though.....depending on the situatuon sometimes you have to give it back.......which i think stinks!!!!
