What should i engrave in his ring?

ok. i know that this is a personal matter, but i was wondering what sort of things you've had engraved in your FH's ring..
I'm at a total loss
other than the date obviously

So we engraved 'Yours 10/22/04' in our rings

About how many letters can you fit on a ring? I would like to put 'on this day I marry my friend 6-17-06' But I may just have to put the initials
'OTDIMMF 6-17-06'

we had the name of our wedding song (More Than Love) and our wedidng date engraved on my w-ring.

he didn't get his yet... we haven't decided... probably the same though.

I was told there was room for about 15-20 characters, which really isn't that much!

After reading your ideas, i got one of my own!!
yay, love when that happens.

I'm thinking of putting 'Today my love - 10/30/05'
(thats the title of a 311 song we both like and i thought it was sort of appropriate with the wedding date)

Of course you don't have to engrave something! engrave it if you want to, there's no ring police who will come after you if you don't engrave the ring!

I would check with your jeweler. My guess is it depends on if you have block or script letters and how big the ring is. Think about it, its a small area so you can't have a long saying..

I am going to engrave, 'Let's Laugh' and the date of our wedding. (whenever I decide on the date)
Let's Laugh was the heading of the ad that I put out online. He told me that caught his eye and decided to answer my ad because of it. This will be a surprise for him on our wedding day.
