What song did you / are you walking down the aisle to?
We're meeting with the church music people soon and I was just wondering what songs you girls walked down to. I like the wedding march but I heard its discouraged in church. Is this true?

I want the bridal party to walk to Bach's Air on G String and I'm walking to Pachelbel's Canon D. We're having a string quartet. I forgot to mention though that we're not getting married in a church

The Wedding March is very discouraged and not played at Jewish weddings.
Mendelssohn was a rabid anti-semite so his music is not played for Jewish weddings.
Maybe that whats you heard in some form. So I dont think its discouraged in christian/church weddings.
I will be walking down the aisle to 'Love Changes Everything' from the musical 'Aspects of Love'.

One of my girlfriends who is a wonderful singer sand for me coming down the aisle. She sang 'crystal' by stevie nicks.

We used 'In your eyes' by Peter Gabriel, but a classical string quartet version.

I got married in church. I used Canon in D for the BP and Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach) for me. I didn't want the traditional music.

We are doing the opposite. I'm walking in to Canon in D and the bridal party Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring

my bp will walk down to trumpet voluntary, and i will walk down to the wagner wedding march..
btw the mendelssohn wedding march is generally played when you walk back down the aisle, after the ceremony is over..wagner's wedding march is the here comes the bride

I am doing the exact opposite....Jesu for the BP, Canon in D for me. I'm getting married in a church.
