What song did you / are you walking down the aisle to?

We're meeting with the church music people soon and I was just wondering what songs you girls walked down to. I like the wedding march but I heard its discouraged in church. Is this true?

im getting married at RH but I am walking down to Eric Claptons Wonderful Tonight...the instrumental version...so pretty!!!!

I hoping the church will let me use that version for my bridal party!!
It's so pretty.

My cousin usually makes up songs at family events to honor the person or event and he always uses Wonderful Tonight. I love that we'll have that little surprise. People will have to listen carefully!!

The bridal party is walking down to Canon in D and I'm using 'The Wedding Song by Kenny G

my bp will walk down to trumpet voluntary, and i will walk down to the wagner wedding march..

btw the mendelssohn wedding march is generally played when you walk back down the aisle, after the ceremony is over..wagner's wedding march is the here comes the bride

I absolutly stand corrected.

But the gist is they both were anti-semetic so their music is not played at Jewish weddings.

We used 'In your eyes' by Peter Gabriel, but a classical string quartet version.

hi! Was it a recording or an actual string quartet? Either way, how did you get a hold of it (either the sheet music or the recording.) I love that song!

I don't know what's discouraged in church but my friend who is getting married nov '09 is walking down the aisle to an instrumental of 'at last'

as for me, may 2010 (yes i'm crashing) I have always dreamed of walking down the aisle to canon D played by a string quartet

Me and the bridal party are walking down to Cannon in D.. I think its sooo pretty and love it. I didn't want the bridal march.. but I don't think its discouraged in church .. It was on my list of songs to pick at least.

I totally forgot I needed a song for the bridal party...but my bridal party is only my sister who is my MOH....now I have to come up with another song!

I am walking down to Something by The Beatles.

I think FH and I are going to walk back up to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder.

Now I need ideas for my MOH!! Grrrrr

I want the bridal party to walk to Bach's Air on G String and I'm walking to Pachelbel's Canon D. We're having a string quartet. I forgot to mention though that we're not getting married in a church
