Re: What temp do you keep your house in the winter?
When we are home between 68 - 72 we have a lot of drafts so it gets kind of cold sometimes. In the evening I have it on 62.

Ours is the programable kind too-its set @ 68 at night & during the hours of 8am-6pm on work days. When we are awake or home its set @ 71-sometimes I put it up to 72 or 73 because we have vaulted ceilings & drafty windows. Our Keyspan bill was adjusted down since we programed like this.

I like it warm too, 73-74 degrees. When we are not here and when we are sleeping we put it down to about 68-69. Yes, the LIPA bills are insane but mostly because we have a hot tub running outside during the winter. We have oil heat.
