My wedding is on a Saturday afternoon. My ceremony starts at 11:30. Cocktail hour immediately afterwards with my reception from 1 - 5. I also didn't like the idea at first of having an afternoon wedding because I am not a morning person. After speaking to a lot of friends they said that I won't be able to sleep anyway so I might as well get everything done early. It definitely saved us money by having it in the afternoon. Good luck!

Reception/cocktail hour starts at 6pm, ends at 11pm

We have a noon ceremony with the reception and cocktail hour right after. My FH family is in the CT/MASS area so those that want to drive in for the day can make it and not have to stay at our hotel. Ours is a Saturday noon wedding.
