We are 3:00 (full mass on a Sunday). It was the only time the church would do it on a Sunday. Coctail hour starts at 6:00pm. Our hall is doing a pre-cocktail as well, with coffees' espresso, teas, pastries, cookies.. etc for guests who may arrive early.

My wedding ceremony is at 2 pm, and I have the cocktail hour beginning at 5. This should allow enough time for the ceremony, and the receiving line, and all the photos that I want done.

Remember, whatever you do..... DON'T cause yourself to be rushed - Allow yourself the time to enjoy the day!

Good luck!

Re: what time for ceremony?

I just booked my church this weekend for a 5pm mass. My cocktail hour starts at 8pm. It's about a 45 min - 1 hour drive to the reception, depending on traffic (on a holiday weekend- it could even be longer). So, I figure 5-6 mass, we get out of there about 6:30, go to the beach to take a few pics, then off to the hall to take more pics, and hopefully, we'll get to go to the cocktail hour too!!!!

Im having my ceremony at 4:00pm(ceremony only) on a Saturday, and Reception starts at 7:00pm.

MY FH and I want to enjoy the cocktail hour. So we should have enough time in between to take pictures.
