I guess I just want a second opinion! I have to go to a shower for FH best friends' FW tomorrow - of course I waited til the last minute and looked at the invite - no registry info. I looked online and couldn't find anything either. What should I give? I guess a gift card to Macys or BBB? I guess everyone can use that! I don't feel right giving cash at a shower, especially to someone I'm not close with.

What I would do (and recieved from a few people) were $50 american express gift card.

I think a gift card to BB&B or Macys is better then cash. For some reason I always feel like cash in an envelops is a last minute thing

As someone NOT registering bcause we do not have a place yet (nor do i have storage), I would not care if I got a check or a AA gift card.TRUST me!

If you're uncomfortable giving money, then a gift card to BBB or Macy's would be good. I'm sure they can find something they need from there.

I am registered but have a friend who is refusing to do so---her fiance told me that they are doing that so that they only get cash.

I would not do cash for a shower. I would probably get them a BBB gift card or something. Can FH ask the best friend about a registry? Maybe they have one at a store that isn't supported by weddingchannel.com.

Hm... that's a toughie. I think it's a little odd that they are having a shower and are not registered. However, to each his own.
I'd say an Amex card or a Simon Mall card would be okay, except that it seems like the only reason they WOULDN'T register is because they want cash to use for a house/wedding/etc.
I would give them something keepsake-ish maybe. Or get them an excursion for their HM?

i think you cant go wrong with cash or a gift card...she prob. expected cash if she didn't register anyway.
