WHAT TO DO!!!

OK SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, MY FMIL DOESNT REALLY SPEAK ENGLISH TO WELL, AND WHEN WE ASK HER FOR A LIST SHE GIVES US A NUMBER BUT THEN SHE CHANGES IT AND WE ARE BOOKING THE HALL AND I NEED SOME WHAT OF A HEAD COUNT I DONT WANT TO OFFEND HER OR MY FH, SO WHAT IS THE BEST WHY TO DO IT

Do your FH speak the same language as her. If so ask him to tell her what exactly you need. Keep your head up

First of all, I hate to sound like a biotch, but please don't write in all caps....it's hard on the eyes.
Second, um, I would just talk to FH....you are marrying him, and spending the rest of you life with him...you can say what's on your mind. It's not like you are insulting them and saying they sound funny or anything. You just need to explain that he needs to ask his mother for a list of everyones full names and addresses for wedding purposes. That way you have an accurate numer, and all their info for later when it is time for invites. That way you don't have to go through this again. HTH

I just noticed it because I read that earlier, and it actually is hard on the eyes when you've been on here all day! he-he My eyes hurt!

yea... many people find it very difficult to read.

I would talk to FH and have him talk to her...

Im curious as to why you would need a headcount when booking...is it to book a particular room and you are not sure if youll meet the minimum?

the thing is that on a friday they have one min andon sat a different one so since we are having a small wedding to begin with i want to make sure i make the min

im not afraid that she will get mad as much as i worry that she will just give me a random number and then change it after we book i just want her to understand that once we book it will be very hard to change it

Maybe you can sit down with your FH and try to come up with a list of people he thinks he wants to invite from his side of the family. Even if it isnt exact it should be close enough to see what the approximate number is.

j/k G....dont worry just get a round about #...didnt she say 25?? The min was what 90 for friday?? b/t her 25 and our side that should be almost 60 then all our friends and their dates and your office.....youd surprised how it all adds up

Remember when i thought I was gonna have 160 and I called WM like 2 months before the wedding and asked if the bigger room was available

Yet it was totally unnecessary...everything will work out...if not, ill just eat enough dinners for the people we paid for who didnt come...and you know i can do it!!!

Well just make sure you have her write down the # and then if she changes it after you book tell her her limit is that# and that is all you can have.

When you book, just guarentee the minimum... Don't worry if there will be more guests than the minimum in the end, as long as you guarentee the minumum you should be fine... worry about her exact numbers later.
