I know in the end it will be worth it but if we dont have the $ to pay then what can I do? How are you guys paying for the wedding. I really dont want to take out a loan. I have too many from school anyway. We arent getting any help from parents...its just us.

SCALE IT DOWN. have fewer guests. maybe just do flowers for u mak etehgirls carry one flower each. use candles for cp's. there are so many ways to make it cost efficient.

im the one that always says that we shouldnt spend so much on one day, and FH just says well great you should have told me that before lol

i always feel like we are spending too much on 1 day, but i think ill regret not having the wedding i always wanted! and if we would have eloped i know i would have regretted not having my family and friends there...so im waiting till the big day to see the outcome and know it was all worth it

and p.s. just tell him its too late

You can have a great wedding on a budget. You may have to scale it down but you can still have your big day. It's an important day but it's 5 hours in the course of your life and all of the stress, fighting and tears that go along with it aren't worth it in my opinion. We're getting help from our parents (a LOT of help) but if we weren't, we wouldn't be doing the big wedding.

Here are some ideas for cutting the budget:
trim the guest list
find a new venue
just get a photographer to do the photos and not the albums- you can do your own album at Blurb.com or something similar
don't have a BP (or a very small one) to cut back on gifts and the number of bo-ks and have your bo-k be really small and elegant
make your own centerpieces or do something really simple like a tall vase with some lillies or a sunflower
buy a cheaper gown
DIY invites
make your own music list and have a friend be the MC
No limos

Good luck!
