On your wedding day. Do you not wear your e-ring or do you wear it on your right hand until your wedding band is placed on it, then put the e-ring on top of that?
I know it is confusing.
Thoughts???

I hope to wear mine on my right hand but it doesn't always fit I have to be really cold (and the wedding is in Aug) so I'll probably give it to mom to hold.
edited to say: but I will put it on my left hand after ceremony

Same here....mine doesn't always fit either..i'm scared it might get stuck..to be safe I'll give it to my mom. :)

This is one of those been there, been answered deals, thought you might like to read this
My e-ring was still on my left hand during the ceremony. I moved it to the right just as Scott's brother gave the rings to the Priest. It was no big deal. Then after Scott slipped my new ring onto my finger I moved my e-ring back.

Our Rabbi does not want any diamonds at all on my hands that day. My engagement ring will be in a box in my fh's pocket. He is crazy about trusting anyone with it, he thinks they will lose it. So I am just going along with his paranoia and letting him hold it! somethings are not worth getting nuts about lol!

I TOTOALLY forgot to switch fingers, right up until right before the ring exchange. All of a sudden I did the switcheroo right up on the alter, and usually it doesn't fit easily on my right hand, but it did! Then DH went to put my wedding band on my right ring finger, and I was like, what are you doing? but what happened was he noticed the Ering on my left finger before I switched, and he didn't know what to do. pretty funny stuff. If it fits, I say the right hand for sure, rather than giving it to someone, I wanted it with me!
