Okay, we're having our engagement party this weekend, but I don't have anything to wear! It's just a low key back yeard thing, but I think I should wear a sundress or something. But where can I get one? Or maybe a cute top and capris? I feel like all the fall stuff is out now and I might be a little hot in a turtleneck and cords. Any suggestions?

I think one of the cute print skirts that are hot right now with a nice shirt and flip flops to keep it casual

Target has some nice sun dress rather affordable too. I wore black jeans at mine with a black tank top with red writting that spelt EVIL. My kid brother did that for me and begged me to wear it like that. LOL I can't so no to him! My FMIL complained about it behind my back but no one else even cared.

Yes, Ann Taylor Loft has really cute stuff...I went crazy on the lace tank tops. Since I wear suits to work they look great underneath the jacket.

They do have some cute outfits and they are having a sale 50% off the already reduced price.
You can always try the outlets in Riverhead not sure how far they are from you but I went there two weeks ago and they have alot of summer stuff still.

Maybe try Strawberry or Rainbow? Cheap prices and plenty of nice stuff and all over the city!!
Otherwise, I always stick to Target or NY & Co.

I remember seeing your post...very cute dresses! Looks like I can add frantic dress shopping to the frantic cleaning and frantic cookie and meatball making I have to do tomorrow! Or I can put it off until Saturday with my frantic centerpiece making!

Try the department stores, you might have to dig through some racks, but you should be able to find something. Definitely check out Bloomingdale's in NYC...bought my engagement party sundress there.

We had our engagment party in Mayat a restaurant (we rented the party room)we had a sunday morning buffet and I wore a nice sun dress and sandals and FI wore khakis and a short sleeved button down shirt. I got my dress at NY & Company.

I meant to say I think I have a similar top....but it might not go with the daisy theme my sister has going!
