I can't use any pills or anything. so we use the pull-out method.
Are you serious?!
I'm not trying to be mean, but you are running a HIGH risk of getting pregnant that way.
Have you thought about an IUD?
For a girl who is perhaps fertile-myrtle maybe. For this girl, not so much. I mean, I'm pretty well aware of the 'HIGH' risk. And I'm pretty well informed of all my options. We've been doing this for 7 years...never been PG. It would take a lot of work and other 'miracles' to make me conceive naturally.
I've tried pills. All sorts of pills and they make me sick. I've tried the shot, it makes me sick. I've tried condoms, and I'm allergic. I'm allergic to a lot of things. As far as an IUD, my doctor informed me that that will only make it even harder for me to conceive later. So as much as I'm running a HIGH risk...we'd be thrilled to get PG naturally AT ANY TIME...because the likelihood of it happening naturally (or perhaps at all) is slim to none.

I take Yasmin (birth control) also... It was fairly new when I started it almost three years ago... I believe it is supposed to prevent weight gain and even help you lose weight... I didn't find that I gained or lost which is a good thing!!
Reading all these stories of people getting pregnant on the pill makes me SO nervous!!

I was on Yasmin for a while but it made me very sick. I had hair growth in odd places, I felt off hormonally, lost a lot of weight, and my personality changed - not for the better. I became very irritable and sad all of the time. After I got off of the pill it took me a while to get back to normal but eventually I was able to do so. I would ask your family members about their rxn to the pill b/c apparently others in my family had similar problems but I just did not know it at the time.

I have been on Seasonale since last fall and love not getting a period every month. I used to take noth Ortho Tri Cyclenes but they gave me bad cramps.
I know someone who got pregnant while no Dep Provera AND condoms. Sometimes, when its meant to be, its meant to be.
vote #2 for seasonale. It rocks only getting your period every three months!

Re: What type of contraception do you/will you use?
I'm on regular Ortho Tricyclen and have been for over five years. I've been on one kind of pill or other, on and off, since I was 22. I'm 37 in a few weeks. I came off it when I was 30 because I smoked, but my Doc advised quitting smoking and going back on the pill. I did stop smoking and I have no adverse affects at all to the pill. I didn't put on any weight with any pill, but my bust is bigger when I'm on it. I'm slim and not big-busted, so it's a bonus! It is claimed that the birth control pill helps to reduce the risk of cervical cancer and definitely helps sufferers of endometriosis.

Wow. I thought I was by myself in this. The few times I did try the pill, it did not sit well with me physically. I was using them more to regulate my period than as a way of not getting PG. I never had much success with them because they made me physically unwell.
