What type of dresses have you guys looked at? or what was your dream dress and what is your new dress??I have been trying on Mermaids *about 15 of them* I just tried on the Hailey Page Londyn, and Love it!! I am going back on Friday to make sure it is the dress!! Just wanted a few days to think about it, because I felt like a bride when I put it on. would love to hear what you guys have experienced so far!

My favorite dress prior to this was the Davima Maggie Sottero, what a difference!

What type of Dress did you think was your dress and what was?
That dress is gorgeous! So unique! I thought I'd just be getting a completely straight all lace dress because I thought I hated the extra poof, but it turns out the straight styles didn't make me feel like a bride. I ended up with the Maggie Sottero Marriane so it's tight fitted at the top and then flares out at the bottom with a train I love it so much!

Fit and flares are gorgeous. Congratulations! My mom loved me in fit and flares but I was set on a big poof dress lol. When I found my dress she was so supportive she knew it was the one too!

This is beautiful!!!! I hope this is your dress. It's just timeless.
I Tried on lots of different styles but deep down I always knew I wanted the big ball gown. As pretty as the dresses I tried on were, I didn't feel like a complete bride. And I went for something completely different then anything I saw online. When I found my dress I did. i couldn't stop crying. I was overjoyed and I hope you have the same experience.

Rcotter90- Check out Wedding Plaza in Floral Park for Essense of Australia. That's where I got mine (granted it was during an Essense Trunk Show) but they still had quite a few regularly stocked!

Re: What type of Dress did you think was your dress and what was?
i swore i wanted a big poofy, blingy dress. i put a few on and they did nothing for me. The girl in macys made me try a fit and flare and that was it from there. When i went to burton i kept saying 'no lace!' i tried on my dress and fell in love. Carole at burton turned to me and said 'so you dont like lace?' lol. A little bling, a little lace lol

I always wanted a big poofy giant dress, and thats what I ended up with. I tried on every style possible to make sure I was making the right decision, but I love my dress! It really makes me feel like a bride.

Didn't want poof, didn't want bling. Ended up with both in some way. I say try on EVERYTHING (well, except I flat out refused satin) and see what fits your body. Ball gowns fit nicely, but I looked like a cupcake and very young (I'm only 5') so I went with a fit and flare.

Re: What type of Dress did you think was your dress and what was?
Same here with the shape. I'm 5'3', busty, and can lose a few pounds to help that waist definition a bit. As I expected, poofy dresses looked terrible on me. I knew *exactly* what I wanted in my head. My mom did everything to talk me out of it, but I bought a clearance mermaid plain dress at Estelle's and am crocheting the lace that will go over it. I tried on beautiful dresses that matched what I wanted on paper, but the moment I put my slip dress on, I was beyond excited. As a kid I always thought it would a Cinderella dress for me though. I still love those dresses, but they just don't work on my body.
