Didn't want poof, didn't want bling. Ended up with both in some way. I say try on EVERYTHING (well, except I flat out refused satin) and see what fits your body. Ball gowns fit nicely, but I looked like a cupcake and very young (I'm only 5') so I went with a fit and flare.

I agree that poof made me seem younger. I originally only wanted this one Paloma Blanca A-line dress but the store didn't have it. They put in a comparable dress that was very poofy (could take out crinolin layers) and it made me feel very girlish/young.

I was open to trying anything, but I never thought I could wear a mermaid-style dress. I couldn't believe how well I looked in it! Made me look like a woman! Understated sexy! I know I won't be as comfortable as I would have been in an A-line, but it's worth it! :D

I always said I wanted all lace and no poof and no bling. Ended up with a little lace and a lot more poof than I expected and a touch of bling! I just figured when am I ever going to get to wear a dress like this ever again and went for it!

What type of Dress did you think was your dress and what was?

I originally thought i was going to get an all lace dress, all of the ones i pinned on my pinterest board were lace. I got my dress this past Sunday and ended up with a satin dress, with beading on top and some beaded lace on the bottom.
