I love how long veils look in pictures of the bride walking down the aisle, or even blowing in the wind....but i'm worried it would take away from the dropped waist....and drown me like you said.

My dress is sort of the same style as yours, and I'm 5'0 as well. I am going with the extra long veil.... I LOVE the way it looks, and I dont really think its overpowering me.

I was going to do cathedral down the aisle and then short for RH.. I am also short 5'1
With your dress though.. I would say long will look stunning with the angles and curves.. Mathematically it will look awesome!!

Have you tried any veils on with your dress? I would try a few different lengthens to see what you like best. I am a shortie too...I got a fingertip veil.

I just saw this dress last week at Wedding Salon of Manhasset and I would do a long simple veil.

I would do a fingertip since you aren't very tall.

We're actually dress twins! I bought my dress during a Kenneth Pool trunk show so a co. rep was there. She explained that they always suggest fingertip veils or longer with their dresses, because the shorter ones make you look like you have a poof on top (the veil) and then a poof on bottom (the skirt), if that makes sense. I don't know if you even care what they think, but I figured I'd share the info!

Re: What veil would look good with....
that is really good advice...it was kind of my concern too....i tried on short, fingertip and long and the last two were my favorite. The dress doesn't come in until April, so I may wait and try on more veils with it

I'm excited too.. although I'm getting anxious because my dress doesn't come in until April and my wedding is in June. I bought it last July so you'd think it'd come in earlier but it isn't. I probably should have lied about my wedding date but that's too late now!

No I haven't fluctuated in weight, Kleinfeld's is just annoying. They said you don't want the dress to be sitting around. At first I said fine, but then I wanted them to move it up and they wouldn't. It is what it is I guess.
