What was one thing you did not want to do for your wedding...

I have to say when i started to plan out this entire wedding thing, I made up in my mind that I did not want to:
Have a sit down dinner.....
Spend more than $12000 for everything
Limit my guest, I wanted all my friends there

thus far 2 out of 3 isnt bad

I knew that I didn't want a huge wedding (because I already don't want everyone staring at me..haha) and no garter toss...possibly no bouquet toss, but I'm still debating that one!

-Plan the wedding!

I didn't want to smash the wedding cake in our faces...I hate that, you spend all this time and money on makeup, to wipe it all off

i did NOT want to wear a veil. then i went to look for dresses and my Mom was like, just try on a little veil, just to see how it looks.

so, i'll be wearing a veil

A garter toss and to wear a veil... i lost the veil battle, but there will definitely NOT be a garter toss. I also want no tulle in my chuppa which will definitely work out!

I did not want kids at the wedding and no receiving line at the church. I realize some think that's rude but honestly, as a guest I find it annoying and I have 300 people coming to my wedding. I'll say hi later!

- cake fight b/t me & FH....I am not spending alll this $$$ to look beautiful to have cake all over me & look like a wreck!
- KIDS!!!!!!! - so far so good.....noone has asked if they can bring kids except FMIL when giving me her guest list asked if her best friend's daughter (got that) can bring her 6 yr old son....UMMM NO...she was alittle taken back but FH stood his ground with me on the no kids deal!

no humerous exhibitions of passive aggressiveness (cake smashing, cake topper)

no bo-k / garter toss

very small wedding. If their # is not programmed into one of our cell phones, they're not invited!

no matching bridal party outfits

no smoke machines / light shows / loud MC's

no stretch limo

no sitdown meal... we want a buffet... We like to see food before selecting it!

no large rehearsal dinner.... only those rehearsing get a dinner, and it will be fun and informal!!

Oh, and no person can tell us we must change our plans becuase they want our wedding a different way!

Same here-

I also HATE Bridal party Intros- I think they are cheesy and corny and downright humiliating- BUT- FH and my parents are insisting on it

Oh well! It;s only 5 minutes out of the day
