The Green Parrot. It was somewhere in Queens. I only remember it because I met one of my best friends that night. (I think we were 16 at the time)

I think it was called Metro 700? My dad used to drop us off. LOL.


That's funny, I was a city kid so I have never been there but FH's best friend used to be a manager there. My first club was the Paladium in the city. I was a late bloomer, I think I was about 19!!

Forest Hills Country Club used to have teen night when i was in Junior high I got to see Coro, Cynthia, Johnny O, George Lamond ... ohhhh, I love Freestyle!

My first real club was Limelight & Palladium when I was 18.

Caffiene in Deer Park. Loved that place! But I was one of the rare ones not rolling or smoking up!

It was Paled's on Queens Blvd in Rego Park.
Paled's is now Goldfingers for all those playing at home.. (not that I have ever been there.. well.. it was just once.. Bachelor party in 92.)

But paled's .. yes... it wasn't a dance night though.. I went on heavy metal night.

My freakin' ears were ringing for a week.

not good.


Paled's was definitely my first club too - probably sophmore year in highschool for a teen night and I went on the guido nights!! I also use to go to Avanti and Emerald City (in the city for teen nights. As I got later in hs - I remember using fake 18 id to get into other clubs -lol!!!!

Uggh- I think it was SPIT in Levittown!!!
Right around that time I also went to The Angle in Mineola.
This was when I was a teenager.

One of my fave places was a club in the city called System!!! Does anybody remember it? I could be wrong but I think it was where Plaid (or formerly Spa) is now!!!! There was also another great place on Varick street called the Buddha Bar, also closed now!!

Ok, Fridays it was 18 and over, that was Caffeine, Saturdays was 21 and over, that was Voodoo, Sundays was all ages, which ironically means under 21, and that was Lithium. I'm a geek

The 1st club was called Hoops in Mt. Vernon.

i didn't really do clubs when i was younger, but my FH and his brother were promoters and used to throw a ton of teen parties @ Paladium. he still talks about the night cynthia brought him on stage and sang dream boy dream girl to him lol haha those days are looooonnngg gone lol know he just laughs about those times.

Oh, I'm totally sure of it They moved it to Deer Park near the end of its days. I remember they used to have the 'Hip Hop' room and then the 'Alternative' room But I also remember it used to be a booby bar during the week They would cover the stage with tarps, though. HAHAHAHA

We used to go to Paleds, Avanti, Metro 700, Silver Screens (on Steinway)
I think I've seen TKA sing about a thousand times from going to these places
