What was the moment...

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was curious.

What was the exact moment you knew you were in love with FH?

Re: What was the moment...

I would have to say it was Feb 11, 2005. My Nona (Grandma in Italian) had just passed away and I had to drive from MD to CT in the middle of the night to get to the hotel in time for the funeral in the morning. FH and I had plans to go to a sweetheart dinner since it was around Valentine's day. I told him I had to leave the dinner at a certain time to travel all the way to CT. That time came and went and FH took my keys so I couldn't leave. I told him I really had to go that it was sweet he wanted me to stay but I had to be on my way. So the dinner ended and I said honey I really need my keys I have to go. He said 'I know you have to go, but I am coming with you. So let's go to my house so I can pack and then I will drive us to CT'. That was the first time he met my family. Keep in mind we had only been dating for oh 8 days! He did it out of such love for me. I knew at that moment that I was in love with him and that there was no one else in the world who would do something like that for me.

Re: What was the moment...

hmmmm.....we met in july i think, by august we were hanging out a lot, then i think in september he went away on a vacation with his g/f at the time and his friend and then a little bit after he got back from that he broke up with her - so although we hung out almost all the time and i really was into him i was kind of iffy because he still had a girlfriend and i was still talking to my ex (who was a stalker ) and i was also hanging out alot with someone else trying to see if that would go anywhere - but while all this was going on my FH and i were hanging out a lot, like almost every day - and we both were really drawn to eachother - you have to keep in mind that we were 18 and 21 at the time so we really didnt care who we were hurting in the process because we both were not happy with the people we were with (my FH had a g/f from high school that by this time he was bored with, he used to cheat on her but he felt to bad to break it off with her - he was kind of waiting for something better to come along - which isnt nice but i understood because i was pretty much in the same boat doing the same thing with the ex and other guy i was talking to, you know kind of stringing them along - so it wasnt nice of us i guess but i mean neither one of us really took those relationships too seriously) but anyway i had really strong feelings for my FH from the start and he did for me as well - well in may, about 9 months after we met my FH was in a motorcycle accident - and even though we both had said i love you to eachother before that - it wasnt until that day that i really knew exactly how much i loved him - and i think it was the same for him - when i got to the ER and finally saw him he just cried and said all he could think about was me, and what if i was riding with him and something happened to me - and all i could think about was what if something had happened to him - it was very emotional for both of us - and for his family too - luckily he was just scraped up and broke some ribs but it was still scary - after that he promised me he would never ride again....after that day i really felt that he was the one for me because i couldnt picture my life without him, i knew that the feelings i had for him were different than the love i had thought i had for other guys before him....omg sorry for the longest post ever - i dont know whats up with me these days with long posts - killing time at work i guess

ETS: i loved him right away - but the motorcycle accident is what confirmed it for me - and stands out in my mind as a turning point in our relationship, where i knew that this wasnt just lust, or puppy love, but that it was something more than that - something that really could be forever

OMG this is going to sound terrible...
Our first date! Yes... our first date. There was this connection, we were finishing eachothers sentences, and were connected throughout our lives... it was actually kind of strange!

Re: What was the moment...

There's a lot of first daters out there! I have to admit I'm one of them too.

The first time FH and I ever hung out we were supposed to be talking about some work related computer programming things (he offered to help me out with a new project I was taking on). We went to Barnes and Noble to talk and go over everything and it turned from 'Let's talk about Coldfusion, MySQL, and databases' to 'Let's talk about life, philosophy, and books.' It was amazing and after finally calling things off with the Super-Ex (the last supposed love of my life) I left feeling so good and giddy about a guy for the first time in a long time. I went home and immed one of my friends (who is a BM) 'I am going to marry this guy!'

About a week later we went out on our first official date to a sushi place and as I was talking I made a hand gesture and threw a piece of sushi across the table. I was kind of embarrassed because I wanted to leave a good impression. But he laughed and we joked about it and he made me feel so comfortable. And when I looked at his face and saw his smile and how he looked at me (that look where you can tell he just realized he has met the most amazing person ever) I knew that was truly it forever.

Re: What was the moment...

Mine was early on..... FH had just got back from a guys trip w/ his friends. So all week in my head I'm thinking ...He met someone on vacation...this is it for us.... blah blah blah. So the moment he landed he called me and invited me over to his house for a big family BBQ.
Like I said... we were only dating a very short time and I was freaked about meeting his family.
So I get to his house and everyone is really sweet.
He takes me into his room and he says... I got something for you while I was away. He pulls out a beautiful pearl bracelet. I was SHOCKED!
I mentioned only once to him that I love pearls and he remembered. It was soo sweet!!

I know its small but to me the small things count.

Re: What was the moment...

Fh and I have known each other since we were seven years old. His mom always swore that we would end up together. We drifted apart and then reconnected when I was 19 (I am now 25). I knew pretty early on that I wanted to be with him forever. He went away snowboarding with his friends and I told him on the phone the night before he left that I loved him. Even though he didn't say it back, for some reason that was okay with me. And everyone noticed a change in how I was acting with him as oppossed to other bfs. I knew this was going to last.

But I fell even more in love with him when last year my dad passed away unexpectedly. (My mom and I actually found him in the house) The way FH raced over to my house with his mom and dad. The way he sat with me in the hospital even after we received the bad news. He stayed at my house no questions asked for a couple of days. The way he would and still sits with me when I cry. When I don't know why I am crying except for the fact that the pain is still so real. I also knew I was going to have a great MIL, FIL and two amazing SI:'s and BIL's.

After everything that happened his family like absorbed mine and we all became one happy family.

Re: What was the moment...

when my mom was having chest pains and was in the ER to rule out a M.I. (heart attack), he left work to be with her. He brought her magazines and just talked to her because I couldn't make it there. Since that day, my mom has a had a little crush on him lol!

It's weird...I can't think of an exact moment. From the second we were together we were just so happy.

Actually after a really big fight I just knew if we could get through that then we were a hell of a team and no matter how bad we mess up we talk about it and figure it out together

Re: What was the moment...

I was really into going to a Youth Ministry at my church when I first met FH, and on Friday nites they had a mass geared towards teenages, and I had to convince FH to come with me, but he lived 2hrs away on the trains (didn't drive yet) and it was at nite, so we'd only be getting out of there around 11..so I begged my mom to let him sleep over and she finally caved..but he had to stay in the living room lolz..we stayed up all nite talking and eventually he fell asleep but I didn't want to leave him so I just stayed there rubbing his arm for HOURSSSSSSS and I remember thinking 'wow, i'm really in love with this man'...and I just felt so happy and content..then I realized I was late for the fashion show..hours had passed and I didn't even know it!!
