What was your hall minimum headcount?

Original post by Bridex100

Did your hall go by headcount or total dollars for the room?

One of my friends just got engaged and she is was wondering what the headcounts were for different halls.

My RH is in NJ but the count was still high for sat night. Needed minimum of 100 for a Saturday night. For a Sunday morning (what we are doing) it was 80 and they dropped it to 70 for us. HINT! If you have a Sundaty mornign wedding, halls will generally give you more perks because those are slower days so book in advance and check out Sunday because more room to play with it.

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove - 140 for a Saturday Night (but can hold many more than that)

On Fri / Sunday, I think it's more like 120.

I haven't really seriously looked at RHs yet, but I have noticed that a lot them have minimums that I most likely won't be able to meet. Are most places very strict with their minimums? TIA!

Our minimum should have been something like 225 for a Saturday night, we were able to get them to bring the minimum down to 175 for a slightly higher price per person.

Jericho Terrace wanted me to guarantee 165 people for the Skylight Room and 190 for the Dome Room. That being said, we booked the Skylight Room and now my list is about 245 people so I could;ve probably done the Dome Room.

Oh well, the Skylight Room is very pretty and you get the biggest bridal suite with it.

ETA: That's for a Friday evening in September.

thats if you do half of the skylight room...if you do the whole room its the biggest room and fits about 400 ppl so its bigger than the dome.

I have the skylight room and i have to guarantee a minimum of 275.

The thing is that it depends on how many guests you have, if its not big enough for the dome room then they split the skylight room in half...if its big enough for the dome room obviously you get that, but if your guests exceed the amount of the dome room then they open up the whole skylight room.

That is also why you get the bigger bridal suite
