I was taken by surprise...I didn't realize that he was proposing...he had to to put the ring up in my face for me to realize what he was doing...when I did realize I was in a state ofshock that he was doing it...we planned on getting engaged 'next year'...

I was personally in a state of shock! I laughed, cried and jumped back about 10 feet!

i asked him if it was REAL......(who does that??)
till this day i don't think i said yes lol
a little back round---he would always play jokes on me so when it actually happened i wanted to make sure it was for real lolol

and i cried & cried & cried(happy tears lol)
for about 2 hours loll

I 'thought' i was throwing my FI a surpise party! but turns out the joke was on me! He and everyone was in on it. I was shocked!

I was in a state of shock. He planned it all so well and made it seem like nothing was going on so I was really taken by surprise. I didn't cry, ... I kinda sat there in shock while he took the ring out and put it on my finger. I think eventually said yes, but I can't remember.

i thought he was joking around... i was in the middle of putting my eye makup on to go out to dinner... who proposes when a girl is putting her make up on???

oopss.... turns out he wasnt joking and there was a real ring in the box!!

I was completely shocked I had never ever expected him to ask. I didn't think he was going to ask until at least after christmas if at all yet.

I was REALLY shocked, even though I was sort of expecting it. We were on vacation at Disney World and he knew that was my DREAM place to get engaged, but we were still in college, and he gave mne the impression it would be after graduation. EVERYONE told me he was going to propose on the vacation, but I really didn't want to get my hopes up. He kind of teased me about it the whole week, but I still wasn't convinced. I was pretty shocked. I didn't even know what to say, I was in such a state of shock, so I said 'I thought you'd never ask!'

I was shocked too. I always thought I would cry, but I think I was too surprised to! It was kind of like an out of body experience. Especially when ELmo told me that Travis had something to ask me!

I knew it was coming. We talked about getting married a few times and I told my parents over Thanksgiving that he was going to propose soon. I guess my initial reaction was happiness that he finally did it

Utter shock! He proposed 2 days after Thanksgiving. I had come back from a day of shopping at Tanger Outlets with my best friend, who kept asking when we would get engaged. I thought it wasn't going to happen until sometime this year! When I came home and he proposed, I was shocked. I kept saying, 'Oh my God!' After I said yes, I told him we needed corn because we were going to my best friend's house for a belated Thanksgiving dinner celebration. He completely took my by surprise!

complete & utter shock! FH always said he wanted to wait a little longer...He did such a wonderful job at planning the entire night, I never saw it coming....When I look back now, I can't believe I didn't pick up on clues

I was totally shocked. He did it on Thanksgiving day in front of my entire family. We have a tradition in our family on Thanksgiving where everyone says one thing they are thankful for in the past year. When it was my FI's turn he said how he was thankful for me and started to get very emotional, but I just thought he was VERY thankful, I had no idea he was whipping out a ring and asking me to marry him.

...I think thats great...everyone is there and you can all celebrate it right then and there...we were in Fl on vacation and still had 6 days left on the trip...it was the longest six days of my life

lol, I was not expecting it until moments before because he got soooo nervous!!!!!! it was cute then I was mean, I said yes but handed him my right hand to see if he would know its supposed to be the left, he didn't! He put it on the right and I giggled and told him. Then I realizied in his nervous state he didn't go down on one knee so I asked him to do it again, it was so much fun, we both laugh about it all the time. Lucky he has a good sense of humor!

when he popped the question i was totally in shock i wasnt expecting it at all he did it the day before christmas and told me that something was being built for me so we go in his house and i see this huge, huge box all wrapped in red wrapping paper and i told him i wanted to open it he asked me if i knew what it was i had no idea he opened the top and there was my ring i started crying and going crazy it felt so surreal ........

I actually knew it was coming (long story), but it still felt totally unreal...I totally disappointed him by not crying! It was just such a wonderful day...the most exciting of my life (so far)!
