Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
A song called 'always'. I don't even know the artist and they don't even remember the artist.
I've tried looking it up, but the only thing I can find is a remake by Ella Fitzgerald. BTW, it's not the 80's 'always' you're probably thinking of. They got married WAY before that.

Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
My parents' was 'We've Only Just Begun', they celebrated their 25th anniversary the year that we were married. My in-laws' was 'Only You', they celebrated their 30th that year.
We made sure both songs were played at our reception.

Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
FH's parents - Colour My World - ChicagoMy parents - Same song (!)
But, my parents are divorced.
My dad and his wife - 'Finally Found Someone' - Barbra Streisand and some guy?
My mom and stepdad - Still up for selection - they had a sit-down dinner at their wedding, so never actually did a 'first dance'.
The cute thing is, I am playing all the wedding songs at our receptions - they'll be the only slow songs played - to honor them. So now, my mom and stepdad are having fun choosing a song of their own - They're being really cute about it.
Cute thread!

Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
I'm not sure...I know its in their wedding album which I have at home. They would be married 32 years today...instead they're divorced 22 years.

Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
More by Bobby Darin- I saw a bride on here using it for her wedding song. My parents have been together for 45 years!!!! They started dating when my mom was 14. They will have been married 40 years a month after my wedding this July.

I believe this was their song
Peformed by Andy Williams
More than the greatest love
The world has known
This is the love I'll give to you alone
More than the simple words I try to say
I only live to love you more each day
More than you'll ever know
My arms long to hold you so
My life will be in your keeping
Waking, sleeping, laughing, Weeping
Longer than always is a long, long time
But far beyond forever you'll be mine
*I know I never lived before
And my heart is very sure
No one else could love you more
(Repeat *)

Re: What were your parents wedding songs?
Not sure about the ILs, but my parents would have danced to 'My Sweet Lady' by John Denver, had my Grandpa not passed away 5 days earlier. To make up for it - we played the song at our wedding and gave them the opportunity to dance to their wedding song, albeit 27 years late.
