Right now, I call her: 'Mrs. ____' - after we are married I will then be 'Mrs. ____ ' too so I don't know what's going to happen there.

Sad to say - but I really don't call her anything. She wants 'mom' but I'm having a hard time with that...and I know she is one that would be insulted if I called her by her first name!

I'm on the fence with this..either mom or by her first name.

The funny thing is I don't really call her anything. I can't think of a time recently that I needed to address her..it's usually 'how are you' what do you think of this' 'what are you making for dinner.' How rude, I guess I call her 'you'

Nothing, I don't have one but I call FHs father Dad, long before we even got engaged I called him that.

I currently avoid the whole situation and don't address them as anything...

If they say hi Jackie I just say 'hi'. I think I'll see how long I can continue with this system...

I don't think I am going to call her anything. But when I address cards and stuff I put Mom.

edited: i forgot about my sister-- she has a tuff call on her hands. she def wants to call FMIL Mom b/c she is great and they get along so well BUT the girl that her FH's brother married (so her FSIL) calls FMIL by her first name...
so she feels like she would be stepping on FSIL's toes by calling her Mom when FSIL calls her by her first name!! but she feels bad calling her by her first name too... she's stuck!!

My SIL calls my MIL by her first name. I call her mom...nobody gets mad.
