What will you do with your gown after your wedding day?
Preserve it and keep it daved for your daughters? Will you sell it? Make something out of it like pillows? Just wondering.

My daughter would never wear my dress. It is too trendy for 25-30 years from now.

Well my out fit is medieval so I'm going to be able to reuse it for my medieval hobby. And hey if my daughter is as wild as her parents, I'll be more than happy to let her use it.

You never know Leslie. She might alter it to fit the style of her day, 25-30 yrs from now. I met a girl who used her moms dress but didn't like the top because it was almost like a turtle neck, so she used the skirt and had a new top put on. I I was the pictures, it looked great!

I definitely want to preserve it so I can look back at it every once in a while. It's definitely going to have so much sentimental value to it!! hehehe.....maybe even put it on once in a while???

I will save it but no plans for potential daughter(s).
Imagine if we were borrowing our mom's. A lot of brides here would have 80's puffy sleeve dresses.

I plan on selling mine. We're not having kids or I'd do the christening dress thing.

Storing it i guess, i would like to like to maybe make my first child's (God willing) baptism outfit from it or for thier crip or something like that.

I'll have it preserved and perhaps use part of it (maybe the train) to have a Christening gown made for our future children.

I read an artical once about this family communtion dress that is passed down from generation to generation. It started before the drespression this woman had gotten married and wore this very pretty dress. The depression hit and she had a daughter who had her first communtion coming up, but she didn't have the money for a dress. So the grandmother took the wedding dress and made the first communion dress. The woman had a few daughers close in age, so they all used that dress for the first communion. When did the artical they had the great granddaughter of the bride who first wore the dress. Its be wore by like 20 little girls. I think that is so sweet!

I'm going to preserve mine & hopefully use it to make a christening gown for our child or perhaps a communion dress or save a piece for my daughter for her to wrap around her bo-k or put a piece in her dress.

It's just sitting there...what the heck am I really going to do with it? I'm not going to wear it again, I'm not going to sell it, I'm not having kids.....hmmm

I am having it made into christening gowns when I have children. I am just going to have it cleaned and keep it in a safe place until the time comes...
