What will your last name be?

I really want to keep my last name but my fi is insisting that i take his. This may turn into an ugly battle. What are you ladies doing?

I think we actually had a convo about this on our 1st date, talk about moving fast!! I'm taking his name, gladly, and I know that's something he really wants me to do too!

I am taking his. I like the idea that we are starting our own line and our own family.

Taking the FI's name b/c it's really 'pretty' and people just can't pronouce my last name now!

Also, he's an only child, and I know it'll mean a lot to his family when/if we have children to continue the legacy.

I am most likely going to hyphenate. FI has no issues with me keeping my last name. I would like to have his last name also.

I can't wait to have a new last name!!! My new name will be Rachel Ramos. Kind of sounds like a porn star!!!

I am taking his name. To me, it makes us an official family. Plus his last is different than his parents (long story) so we will be like the first generation.

Taking his last name and I will be happy with it. We'll be starting a new family, so I would prefer we have same last name. I would like to keep my maiden name as my middle name, but I will have to go to court to do the name change, so we'll see!

I am going to hyphenate - I have a pretty rare last name and I don't want to lose it! Our kids will take just his name.

I never actually thought not to take his last name.... I'm pretty excited about it.....
I just have to figure out how I'm going to sign my name now.
