What will your last name be?

I really want to keep my last name but my fi is insisting that i take his. This may turn into an ugly battle. What are you ladies doing?

I will be hyphenating with my new last name..I am Italian and Colombian and fell if I don't have an ethnic last name I would feel weird. I am keeping my name no matter what..FH is not happy about this

I will be hyphenating...i know it doesnt sound great together but its important for me to keep my last name and have his as well

I am most likely going to hyphenate. FI has no issues with me keeping my last name. I would like to have his last name also.



I would also like hyphenate, but may last mane has 9 letter and his has ten and I think hyphenating will border on child abuse so I am taking his........

My current last name is Jewish and my married name is going to be Jewish, and yet I'm a Catholic girl!!! Go figure!!!

I'm going from a name that sounds like an actress to a name that sounds like a porn star!!

I will be taking his and I can't wait, I love my name but his last name sounds similiar to mine now so it works well!

Even though I LOVE my last name and am not so fond of his (sorry Mike) I will be taking his....


same thing for me- but Jake agrees with me and jokes about taking mine

his will totally erase my ethic idetity- I no one will ever believe that I am a irish - itailian Catholic

People have always thought I was Jewish my whole life- I guess b/c I act 'jappy'- what ever! and b/c my name is Beth ( really Elizabeth)

so basically once you put Beth in front of my super jewish last name- I don't stand a chance of being believed!

I always dreamed of marrying into an italian last name- oh well- got to get ready for temple!

edited to say- Jake isn't Jewish either-

I will take his even though I feel kind of sad about losing mine. I will be going from a very original last name that ALWAYS gets mispronounced to a really common last name. But at least everyone will pronounce it correctly.
I'll tell you what I really don't like though, is after you get married you become MR AND MRS his first name his last name!
Why does the woman't identity appear?
I've already told him that when they introduce us at the wedding I want them to say Mr. and Mrs. Travis AND Lauren ________! !!!!!!

i am taking his, i know its important to him, but it is also important for me to take his name, and i like it, so it helps

haha- i'm going from a 9 letter Greek last name to a 5 letter Greek name, (I like mine better but oh well )

Im leaving my welsh last name...and picking up an irish last name....Moran..
(my last name fits my first name a little better..but oh well!)
