what would you do....

i edited all my posts - you guys are right - no reason to feel disappointed - its going to be a good time - i guess i just was expecting something totally different and i should not have assumed that i was having a brunch like i said i wanted i know they are trying their best - its funny though how i had a feeling - i guess i know them better than they know me!

Oh, I didn't read this when I responded, I could definitely relate to your disappointment...and i'm a cryer too so whenever I get disappointed I cry...I hate it but I know how you feel...try not to focus on the food....just think of all of the wonderful gifts you'll be getting...focus on that, and let the food issue fall by the wayside....trust me, you'll have a blast if you do that!

It was just the initial shock that disappointed you but I'm sure if you give yourself some time to let it sink in you will start to feel really excited that you are having a shower instead of disappointed. It is going to be nice no matter what because its YOUR day and everyone is there for you. I'm sure they will make it look really pretty and you will have a great time being around all the people that came to celebrate with you.

I can totally relate - I felt the same way and like you said, we're lucky to get a shower. It's just a disappointing feeling but you get over it. I thought my family would know me better as well but they're doing such a nice thing and putting so much time and effort, I know I will love it!
