Both FH and I didn't want him going to try on dresses. My grandmother and FMIL also were very clear on how they felt he should not be there. I really want him to see me for the first time on our big day when we do the revel.

I think it depends on what you want, you see some FH's going with brides, but if you're not comfortable with that, tell him

Someone suggested having him come for the 'trying on' part and then make the actual purchase without him. I think that sounds like a good idea

This sounds like a good idea! I mean, unless you have a very obvious reaction to 'the' dress you could narrow it down to a few and then surprise him with what you purchase...kinda like what David Tutera does on 'My Fair Wedding'!

My fiance wants to see what I pick as well. I told him he is definitely not seeing before the wedding! Instead, I told him to pull some out of magazines that he likes. Luckily he likes most of the same styles I do! lol but I still like the idea of a surprise!

No way!! I dont want him to know anything about it until the day of.

He loves you and loves the way you look so why would he be worried about the dress you pick?

its okay and i asked my FH if he wanted to come because i trust his vision also but he said no because he wanted it to be a surprise.

He's not WORRIED about it whatsoever. He just wants to share in the experience with me. We often shop together and he's got a great sense of style. Not a lot of guys are like that.

For me, I guess i'm nervous because it'll be the first time trying on wedding gowns and you dont know what to expect. The unknown always gets me a little anxious but I also hope to bring some support with me too...my mom, maybe my MOHs, etc. Don't worry...it'll all be good! Maybe i'll just have a little (beverage) before heading out!
