Re: What's average price for DIY invites?
It really all depends on how many inserts you want, what type of ribbon (if any)......packaging......
It all adds up QUICKLY!!!!
I've hear that cardsandpockets is a great place to get your supplies from. They are the cheapest from what I've seen.
In the end.....supplies wise, it will probably be cheaper than purchasing them.....but dont' forget to factor in YOUR time. They can be VERY time consuming.........

Re: What's average price for DIY invites?
are pocketfolds what you want??
there are a million different type of invites out there that you can diy for almost nothing.
but if you want pocketfolds... you'll need the pocketfold, the rsvp envelope, the mailing envelope, the inserts, and the wedding info. you might want ribbon, stickers, lables... to embelish and to close the pocketfold.
depending on time, you can even make your own pocketfolds... i didn't do that because i wanted them 'perfect' and i wasn't going to be able to do it myself.
if i would have bought my invites already made... i think the price was like $650. i diyed them and i paid about $150-200 total, including postage.

YES, I THINK POCKETFOLDS MIGHT BE WHAT I WANT. WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR SUPPLIES? I SAW YOUR INVITES IN YOUR ALBUM... THEY ARE LOVELY!!! WHO DOES THE PRINTING.. AM I DOING THAT MYSELF? DO I NEED A SPECIAL PRINTER?

Re: What's average price for DIY invites?
thanks.
those were actually pictures of the work in progress... can you believe i still don't have a picture of the finished product!?
i got my pocketfolds 5x7, outside envelopes, and rsvp envelopes from MYGATSBY.COM. they were very nice, helpful and a decent price.
i bought a paper cutter and a lot of cardstock.
the background picture i had printed at a local printshop, because it was color intense and it had to be done on photo paper. i used spray adhesive, and a lot of patience.
if you need more help, fm me, i'll be happy to help

Depending on what you want, paper presentation is cheaper. I spent less money on pocketfolds from there than i would if I bought them on cards and pockets.

Re: What's average price for DIY invites?
I was curious myself and went to the site and calculated everything I would need. Came up to a little over $150, which seems pretty darn good to me.
