What's everyone doing about banking accts once married?

I'm trying to figure out the banking situation once we're married. I definitely want to keep my own savings. But should our checking accounts be merged?

We opened a joint account for our wedding expenses which will become the 'married' account as well. We both have separate savings & checking accounts which we will merge once married.

We already have a joint savings, but we are combining our checking accounts this weekend. I will also keep a seperate checking STRICTLY to pay off my student loans, and we are considereing putting the weddng gift $$ into joint CD.

We both have our own personal savings and checking and we also have a joint checking and savings..

We combined everything (both savings and checking). We have seperate 401k and life insurance accounts.

We are both in different credit union so we are adding each other to each account, and then using his as our normal account. We want to keep both open, so we can change back to mine, if they have better rates, on mortages and loans. If I leave my credit union I don't think I can go back, since i am only in ti becasue of where my dad used to work.

We already have a joint checking and savings. It's just easier for us to track everything before the wedding--But we are thinking of opening up another checking accoutn jsut or the FH's corporate expenses--Everything is getting mixed together and it's a pain!!

We merged our checking accounts when we got engaged.

We each have seperate checking accts and I have a seperate savings acct. His savings acct he actually just added my name to but I don't even know the acct #. It has his $$ from the sale of his co-op in it. We also have a joint savings account which we opened shortly after we got engaged as out 'wedding account'. I talked to DH about opening a joint checking account but he doesn't seem to want to so but I'll keep working on him. So for now when I don't want to or have run out of $ to pay a bill I just throw it on his desk!

We opened a joint checking and savings. I do all the bills.

We currently have a joint savings account for the weddding, but once we are married we will still have that account along with separate checking and savings accounts.

Like many of you, we opened a joint savings/checking to put $$ for wedding since we are paying for the wedding ourselves. Once we are married that will be our accts but we will still have our own savings checking. I believe in being one yet having some independence :)

We opened a joint savings when we got engaged, and we just opened a joint checking/savings which we are going to use as our main account. We are both going to maintain our seperate checking accounts just so we can purchase gifts etc. without the other knowing.

We are maintaining separate checking and savings accounts. He gives me money, and I pay the bills!

We had a seperate account for our wedding, which is now gone:) However we have always had joint accounts ever since we got engaged.

Since we moved in together 3yrs ago...
We merged all accounts..

One checking
One savings
One Money Market

We opened a joint account once we got engaged and will change everything else over once we are married.
