We're trying to stay around $25-30k. The cheaper I can do everything, the better!! We're doing it all ourselves..and I really don't want ot end up in debt!

I'm going to be around $20k, but i ALWAYS find the bargains. So i feel like i'm getting a $40k wedding for $20k. and i'm very happy with that! We are paying for it ourselves and then the money from our parents we can get after the wedding. So instead of having them pay for it, it's like a forced savings for us. So then we get their money and the gift money all at once!!!

I hope i can do that!!! I feel like after calculating just the reception cost it's like 20K for me. Our list is over 200 right now but i am trying my hardest to cut people out. we just have big families...

If you want to cut the price consider a sunday afternoon wedding instead... I believe it is the cheapest out of all the days/times

That is very true! I just didnt mention it b/c most people still arent accustomed to the thurs wedding just yet... Fridays, if anything, have been up and coming LoL

I think my budget is going to be around $35K-$40K. We are getting around $30K from our parents, mostly my parents, some from his. I would LOVE to be able to do it all on the money from our parents, but I am sure I will need to go over $30K. We'll see though cause I haven't booked a RH yet...

Then you add about 10k for a honeymoon (I want to go to Hawaii)

Thats why i asked! And honestly, if you are spending 10k for hawaii.... skip hawaii and do tahiti for that amount instead.... thats like a once in a lifetime thing!
I agree mazz! We are looking into Fiji over Tahiti just b/c Fiji is less commercialized...and a little cheaper! Still prob spend about 8-10K when everythings all done but it's sooo luxurious & exclusive! Once in al ife time trip! ....even though I'm sure we will want to go back one day
