I think I will meet up with all my loved ones including my dog that passed on that would be the ultimate gift and will never have pain again

Lisa - I sort of have the same feeling.
Even though it sounds naive that's what I like to believe.

People laugh when I say that but I have to beleive in something...I am glad you guys feel the same way. That is how I deal with death that my loved ones are up there waiting and watching over me... Oh my eyes just welled up .

I was just going to ask that...
Are you afraid of dying?
Barring tragic circumstances like painful illnesses or accidents, just actually die.
I have to think about it - part of me is and part isn't.

I am not as long as it isnt painful I guess I am not afraid because I have a lot of people on the other side. But I guess dying young would be terrifying never having lived life to it's fullest potential that is scary.. But just old age I am ok with.

I'm in this minority as well. And to answer the second question, no, I'm not afraid to die. It's the one sure thing in life, no? So I just choose to accept it and hope that I've lived my life to the fullest, loving as much as I can...and leaving as many memories for my loved ones, as I can.

Re: Whats on the Agenda for today? What can we talk to death
I am very afraid. I am afraid I'm going to die young as well. To think about leaving my husband or any children I may have bothers me A LOT. Every so often I get afraid to fall asleep for fear I may not wake up. I'm not ready to leave life yet. I guess when I get older (MUCH older) I may feel differently. But for now I'm afraid no matter what age it's going to happen.

I always ask myself this. I really do hope there is a place that you get to meet loved ones and be able to tell them what you could not tell them on earth.
But then after seeing how my grandmother died. Deteriorating over months not knowing who we were but talking to people on the ceilings. I kept asking myself where is that spirit? Where is she?
It is like I believe in God but I also believe in darwinism. But I tear myself up mentally between science and religion.

Re: Whats on the Agenda for today? What can we talk to death
I was raised catholic by a religious, born-again (but well meaning) mother. So yes, I am petrified of dying.
I'm not sure what I believe, if anything. It's comforting to think there is something after this. The thought that we just cease to exist is almost too much to get my mind around. But then again, if my mother is correct, the place I'm going to after this is not a good place at all!
I don't know......I'd be interested to hear other peoples ideas on this.

But make sure you have a living will. This way your family knows of your wishes. Like, if you have a chance of surviving with a good quality of life then do everything in your power but if there is nothing left let you go.
