Capital Bldg and Whitehouse were still off limits when FH was there last month.
Jenn, DEFINITELY stop by the holocaust museum. I had taken a class on the Holocaust 2 summers ago, and FH and I took a trip to see the museum --- It's a feeling I can't even describe.

I've been to the holocaust museum, so has FH. I would love to go again, but we don't know if a wedding weekend is good time to go there.
Which Smithsonians do you recommend? I want to go to the American History one, I've never been to that one!

i like the 'fun' smithsonian - the one with all the gems, and the one with Dorothy's slippers, archie bunker's chair, etc.
Don't know which one that is!

I went once on a bus trip for just the day , so we could only pretty much see one museum & that's where we went.

It's a fun museum - they have an air conditioning duct that you can climb up into and spy on people They also have a pretty cool souvenir shop. I love my sparkly 'Spy Girl' t-shirt that I got there!

It's a neighborhood in the heart of Washington - kinda like the Village in NYC or something. I think the main streets are M through P or something.
