We just set our date, and we chose it because it is during both advent and hanukkah and will be a great way of starting our interfaith family. It's also Beethoven's birthday! Which is great also because FH's alte grandfather LOVED classical music, and I love the charlie brown song 'beethoven day'

I just found out it's National Friendship Day! Cheesy I know---- I went to write it in my calandar so I don't forget (haha) and there it was..... National Friendship Day!

After getting engaged I decided that I wanted to get married in the fall of the same year, so we picked September. The 23rd was available at the hall so that is what we went with. It is also the day that my aunt (who is helping plan the wedding) got engaged over 25 years ago, so that's kinda cool. I just looked up the date and found out that it is:
The day Louis and Clark returned from expidition Neptune was discovered Ray Charles, Bruce Springstein and Ani DiFranco's birthday.

We both love the fall-It is exactly one week before my birthday (so we'll be on our honeymoon for my b'day) and it is two days before we got engaged. (we would've liked to get married on the day we got engaged but that fell on a Sunday and when we first started planning we agreed no Sundays)

Ours is a Sunday....Holiday weekend.....Fall. That's all.
That's exactly why we picked ours. Later we realized that my favorite Aunt, was married on the same day at the same time, 68 years before. We had already planned on using her cake topper, but this made it even more special. She would have just celebrated her 100 Birthday besides.

We got married on our actual dating Anniversary. It was our 9 year anniversary. So this August we'll be married 3 years, and together 12 years.

FI refused to get married during the summer... he doesnt want to sweat!
so April 8 it is the weekend before a week long vacation at school... which means we can go on a honeymoon right after the wedding!!

Well I wanted august to celebrate our civil ceremony date of 08/06/99 but it's more expensive at that time in mexico, So i chose his birthday. 05/16/06. it's not set in stone since i have to wait until october to reserve the date with the resort.

we wanted a fall wedding. i had to get married before the jewish holidays. this i just realized....we're getting married on the 18th, our anniversary is 8/26/02. 8 plus 2 plus 6 plus 2 equals 18

We really just pulled the date out of the air. We wanted spring, and the 8th should be right before a school vacation, so it works for us.

We originally thought we'd get married in November, but the price and the minimum guaranteed number of guests was better for December, so we went with the first Saturday - December 3rd.
What I later found out is December 3 is the feast day of Saint Francis Xavier - My 93 year old grandfather is Francis Xavier, so we're able to honor him, which I love.

My FH and I decided to see eachother exclusively on July 30, 2000. Our wedding date is exactly 5 years from that date.
We both wanted a summer wedding, so setting the date was obvious, and luckily it fell on a Saturday.

Nothing signficant except price!! I have always wanted to get married during a holiday weekend. And since we are getting married the Sunday of Martin Luther King weekend, our price is very cheap! I used to joke that we were going to get married on October 17, 2008, which is a friday night, because this is our anniversary, but we didn't want to wait that long!

we both love the summer and since i was going to be a teacher, it made sense that we get married during the summer, too. his b-day is 8/1 and mine is 1/8, so we thought 8/8 would be fitting. plus, astrologically speaking, my grandmother thought it was one of the few 'good' days for us. gotta love her!

Well, it was the ONLY Saturday night our hall had left in June or July Keep in mind, we booked it the first week of Jan last year!! I really wanted June 18 because I like the way it sounds
