We just set our date, and we chose it because it is during both advent and hanukkah and will be a great way of starting our interfaith family. It's also Beethoven's birthday! Which is great also because FH's alte grandfather LOVED classical music, and I love the charlie brown song 'beethoven day'

Nothing. We just wanted to have a Sunday wedding with a holiday the next day that most people don't work on, this way no one would complain. And no one has Romantic, huh?

I wanted it during a holiday weekend. Our anniversary will always be a 3 day weekend no matter if we don't take a vacation. It's great!!!
Memorial Day weekend is kind of cool for us since we are both summer babies and it kind of almost falls together.
DH Bday is 6/24
Mine Bday is 7/25
Our Wedding Day is 5/28
We started going out 4/21
So we have 4, 5, 6 and 7 and everything in the 20's.

It was a Sunday in March so it was affordable.
We had 30 people coming from Ireland so we wanted it around St. Patrick's Day.
Not to mention we had one of the most Irish weddings, so it tied in good to the holiday.

I knew I wanted to be a June bride, and the 1st fell on a saturday, so it was perfect. june 1.
It is also great because we can celebrate over memorial day weekend

We also really liked the idea of having a celebration added to the early part of the holiday season, and an excuse for a vacation to someplace warm this time in future years to celebrate our anniv.

We met February, got engaged February plus feb. is cheaper. Since he proposed on valentines day I definitly wanted to have my wedding the weekend before. But since it is my best friends birthday and his brothers birthday ( our best man) we didnt want to take all the attention away from them. So we settled for the next weekend and wond up getting the sunday before a holiday instead ( presidents day)

it will be our 7 year anniversary on our wedding day
we got engaged on our 5 year anniversary
this date has meant somthing to us and what it to continue.
i just thought of somthing while reading others post... maybe i could get the DJ to make an annoucement marking this anniversary.. our first kiss was a little before 10ish.. that would be sweet with a little poem that is read out loud or somthing

absolutley nothing. we originally were going to get married on nov3 2006 - our dating anniversary. but when we went to the hall and found out that august is the same price as november, we moved it up. fun fact: me and my sisters birthdays are a day apart, mine is sept 16 1975, hers is sept 17, 1974. her wedding date is aug 5 2005, mins is aug 4, 2006. we will both be 30 when we get married.

we started looking at halls OCt 03. we were thinking of 3.5.5 as a nice rounded date.
when we went to ariana in oct 03 - march was wide open - we could pick any date - but did not yet have the deposit
when we went back feb04 to place a deposit, get this - MARCH 5, 2005 WAS THE ONLY DATE AVAILABLE !!

October 29, 2005 is exactly one year from the day that Jason asked me to marry him. Also the day after my parents anniversary and they will be married 32 years.
Doesn't hurt that we like the fall! So we got lucky.

September 25th is our dating anniversary..and since it fell on a sunday next year we chose the 24th of September. Technically it was the night of the 24th we 'decided we were a couple' into the AM of the 25ht...so we always considered both dates to be our anniversary anyways. I love that time of year as well.

We started dating May 16th. We got engaged August 15th. We wanted to get married Oct. 17th, Ive always wanted a fall wedding. Oct. 17th was booked so we went with the 24th! Also my parents work out east middle of April-middle of October so it all worked out for the best! Now I share my anniversary with my godson who was born 6 weeks ago today!
Ours is our half anniversary, we always celebrated it. First we celebrate 6 months together, than a year, next a year and a half and so on. We just acknowledge the date and make it a 'date night' but since we wanted Fall/Winter and our anniversary to be a part of it, it fit perfectly.
