We just set our date, and we chose it because it is during both advent and hanukkah and will be a great way of starting our interfaith family. It's also Beethoven's birthday! Which is great also because FH's alte grandfather LOVED classical music, and I love the charlie brown song 'beethoven day'

ETA: it's also the date of the Boston Tea Party!

for us... we knew we wanted a spring/summer wedding .... his parents anniversary is june 6th and my parent's is june 26. so we were gonna try and 'split the difference' and do june 16th. but i work at a school and the 16th is my last day PLUS its a thursday. we didn't want to do june 18th in case i had snow days and had to make them up at the end of the year, so we pushed it back a little to june 25th

We picked our date because Kabbalistic rabbis mentioned that Thursdays are lucky and dates ending in 5(5, 15, 25) by the Jewish calendar. Our falls on 5th of Nissan and on a Thursday.

No significance really. Just that it was available and I had to have a summer wedding. I love the heat. I really wanted to have a tropical theme too. And its on the water so I figure summer is the best time for all of that.
