geraldine, gertrude, mercedes ( or any other 'Car' name), Pauline

I agree---gertrude for a girl is horrible!
For a boy, yes Stanley is bad...and I don't care for Howard either.

There are names I won't name my children for other reasons...

Last name=Bohn

Joan

Nicholas
knack
Patrick
whack
give a dog a BOHN...couldn't do it to my child. And those where my two pavorite names!

Boys- Norman, Gaylord

Girls- Dorothy, Stewart ( My cousin named his daughter Stewart. Poor kid is going to be made fun of when she starts school)

i don't like any of the rearly 90's names: ashley, taylor, kayle

Thats so funny you posted that. In my post up above, I put the name Dorothy, I put it because she is an obnoxious aunt of mine. And ironically her middle name is Theresa!!
