I did a few special things. I did the placecandles, and we had our first dance all planned out with the help of Vic Goldman (instructor). At our ceremony I wrote the prayer of the faithful, had my stepmother read the Hands Prayer, had a harp and chose each song very carefully.

I dont think we did anything that was so amazingly different but we did
a)candle placecards b)several favors that were fitting c)choreographed dance to less than typical song d)good food, good music, good company (most important) e)no spotlight dances except our first f)cootie catchers

I love flamenca music an we are haivng Maurice Sedaka play at our cocktail hour. The music is so romantic and sexy.

Bagpipe outside the church welcoming people and when the ceremony is over..... FH is making the CD covers himself and downloading the music- and making CD's..... he also said he's got a 'surprise' he's working on for me (If I had to guess, he use to be in a band, I think he's going to jump on the guitar and play a song w/ the guys for me- I'm terrible- I have to know!!!)

My favorite thing was something I did just for us.........but I was really glad that other people noticed. On the mantle behind our sweetheart table we had pictures of our close loved ones that have passed on(DH's Dad & Sister, Grandparents, Godparents) I was so thrilled when I got my disp camera pics back & saw this
Those are my Grandfather's brothers & sisters looking at the picture of him my Uncle has in his hand.
We also did a cigar bar with personalized custom cigars & accessories, Personalized candy, Rose petal Farewell, programs we made, & a bunch of other stuff but I'll try not to ramble.

we had our parents wedding albums on displays, as well as photos of other close family weddings.
We had favors that reflected our heritage
we named the tables after dances we enjoy (and danced the night away)
we had the band learn a lot of songs that were important to us - and played our parents wedding songs, as well as Al's sister's songs for special dances.
