This comment was made to my mother about the fact that some of my cousins were not invited with their boyfriends.

'They cant bring their boyfriends? Theyre gonna be so bored'

When I say Im inviting about 260 I get OMGGGGGG WHY SO MANY?! ISNT THAT SOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE FOR YOU?!
I just get so frustrated with that comment like you have no idea about me or my life...

OR I HATE HATE HATE! OMG how many carats is your ring? It's gorgeous! UMMM BY a co-worker I BARELY know!!!!!!!!!!!!! BARELY! HOW RUDE?! My ring is big Im not ashamed of it but I dont need to share with you how many carats it is. Just say congrats and move along!

I'm getting that from people, but in a subtle way. Like when I say I'm going to see The Swan Club...I get, Oh...why don't you look at so-so. Which is a lot closer for them and myself. But funny. Its subtle, but same thing.

Hmm, we'll when I first got engaged it was 'Why are you waiting soooooooo long to get married?' (we are having a 2 year engagement). So I would say...'Do you want to pay for my wedding? No? Okay then SHUT UP!'

I've also gotten 2 nasty comments about my ring: 1 was 'It's nice, but its not what I would have wanted!' and the other was 'Oh, we'll you'll want to upgrade when you get older.' Those were both shocking comments considering my ring is gorgeous (if I do say so myself) and over 2 carats, so why would I want to upgrade?!?!?!

That is VERY rude.

More so about some people who say nothing...

A few people i know are getting married also. It can be a 2 hour conversation about everyone's wedding and i sit there. I'm not too close with them and i'm not the one to toot my own horn or anything like that. But really... talking about other peoples weddings and not asking 1 thng about mine.. not even generally like 'how's the planning going?'

dunno.. i just think that's rude.

The rudest comments have to be about losing weight. I am already tiny and I did not diet at all, but still some people would ask me when I plan on losing weight. Or is someone at my office would see me eating a cookie or something they would remark 'are you sure you want to eat that?'

OMG...people say the same things to me!! And I'm 5'6 and weigh 115 lbs!! WTH! I obviously do not need to loose weight. Every time I eat something people are like 'uh oh...careful your wedding is near by...are you sure you want to eat that?'. HELLO! Obviously the way that I've been eating has been working for me so why don't you just crawl in a hole and die. stupid people.

lol...sry its really annoying though

Girl...we haven't hung out in months and even when we did we never did anything more than drink with a bunch of other people...why would I invite you???

i am so over ppl telling me that they should be invited. weddings are expensive... i can't afford everyone...

how do you girls handle that statement?

I'm having a very small wedding (50 guest max). So I always get the '50 people? why even bother to have a reception'
