I just got an estimate for a total with shipping and she added a discount for 745.00 bucks...i feel like that is way too much to spend for favors! But I really wanted them....what is average??

OH I understand your pain, my Greek Mother isn't happy with anything I've showed her, I haven't even told her about these...she loves the whole Jordan Almonds and some other things that I am just not into! I want to do something edible she isn't a fan...but she isn't paying so I win!!
I have looked around at everything and nothing strikes me more than these. But I might have to keep on looking...
Is your koumbra or koumbaro paying for the favors? That's usually the way it's done in my family.

We're paying about $1500 (crazy I know!) but, we have about 300 ppl and it's an italian wedding and my family is annoying with the favors..it has to be something substantial and useful and pretty..blah blah blah. Our budget was more like $600-$800, but we just couldn't find anything that my mom 'approved', so she's going to help us out with the cost.
Ummm, did you try searching, maybe you can find different cupcakes? Favors was definitely my least favorite part of planning, deciding and paying for!
We're paying about $1600 for favors, for 175 favors (about 1 per couple). But my parents were paying because they would not approve of anything else, it also had to be something pretty and unique and substantial....according to them. I hated this whole favor thing.

Even though we are getting married in the Greek Church we really aren't doing a whole traditional Greek wedding. It is really just the ceremony that we are following. I am not making my sister pay for anything, as it is she is my MOH, her 3 kids are in my wedding and she is having everyone at her house for the day of the wedding and planning for that day as well, she is also in school and works full time, lol so I have to give her a break! lol

i just found this if you want to DIY the cupcake in a jar!!
looks like a lot of work!! i wonder if you buy jars and bring them to another bakery they might be able to do it for cheaper

Thanks - I'm not the creator by any means - there are a ton of Guinness recipe's on the net...but they are very chocolaty and YUMMY! originally I had allusions of making them as favors - then I gave up at the thought of baking 200 cupcakes the night before our wedding - there's just no way in hell!

and i'm doing jordan almonds i dont know the cost of that but I got the little pouches on ebay for less than 15 bucks for150~

Isn't there a whole patent thing or issue? Yea I read it and although I might try to tackle a project like that for 10 people i would be a basket case doing it for 125/130! lol

I almost had cupcake favors, then cookie favors, then i was gonna do a donation and in the end, I did nothing
I think I'll still do the donation thing cause the org. is important to me.
So I saved lots 700 something is a lot
