Whats with BMs lately?

Seems we are all pissed at them.

heres my turn!!

so i have 4 best friends that it has been the 5 of us forever. we've definatly had our ups and downs and i've backed away from them in the past b/c of drama that wasnt needed but we always manage to go back to being friends. this last time though things arent the same, and its fine b/c i'm too busy to spend as much time with them as i used to. now i really only talk to two of them regularly and only see them here and there.

so 2 of them have no interest in the wedding at all. 1 refuses to tell me anything. wont tell me that she didnt like the BM dress i picked out. so my MOH told me that the girl didnt like it. so i took just her to burtons the 2 of us to see if we could find something she did like and it was the most akward day i think ive ever had. we barely talked. it was her texting the whole time not paying attention to anything i said. she had a problem getting the dress on and refused to ask for help so she didnt even try 1 dress on. so whatever.

now earlier this week i asked all the girls if they can go today to look for dresses one last time before we order. 1 doesnt answer me. and 1 says she doesnt know b/c its the day before easter so she'll get back to me in a day 2 or. Never heard back from her. So Thursday my MOH calls me and tells me that the other girl isnt going, and she said she told me. which she didnt. just friggin annoying.

so now i'm to the point where i could care less if the other 2 dont like the dress. i hope theyre miserable in it. Its my wedding and it would be nice if they could talk to ME and tell me they dont like something or or dont want to be there.

this is really long and i dont expect anyone to read it. but i needed to vent

I am sorry you are having BM trouble too! I hope you have BM's who do care about being there for you and are making an effort to make this process easier for you. Having people in your BP who do not really care that it's your special day really makes everything so stressful. At least I found out that the BM who did not want to be a part of it is making the decision not to do so. Hopefully, it will be less stress for me in the long run. Good luck and feel better!

i think id almost rather they back out. the last thing i need in my life right now is more stress. i have too much going on as it is :(

the way they are acting seems pretty crappy. i would be upset too. i think you should just pick out whichever bm dress you like, and if they don't like it, too bad.. they had their chance to speak up or look for something else.

That stinks its so annoying. Im pretty lucky because 2 of my BM's are my sisters & then my cousin who is like my other sister & then my BF. I kept it small. It makes it easier but unfortunately not in your case.

youre lucky! im almost tempted to be like thats it. its gonna be FSIL. my MOH and the other BM who is actually getting married October 09.

but i would still have to deal with the other 2 b/c 1 is the MOH of the Oct 09 wedding and the other has been one of my best friends since i was 5 also in the 10/09 wedding

Do people realize it's YOUR wedding and YOUR taste??? You are not getting married to please their dress taste!! Grr...makes me angry. Sorry you are going through that!

now i'm bringing to 2 shortest skinniest chicks of the group and what looks good on them goes.

You have to do what makes you happy. Pick out a dress that you like & then thats it. What else at this point could you actually do? Good Luck girly! Remember its YOUR DAY!

sorry u r going through all of this. Not sure what BMs think but they either had or will have their turn one day. Luckily two of my BMs are my sisters but that's a another can of worms lol

dump them! hahah jk (sorta!). i'm keeping it small with only my 2 sisters in my bridal party, it's so much easier!

ughhh I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, but it is very difficult to get a bunch of girls to agree on one dress that's why I decided I'm going to pick out the BM dress and just tell them to go get fitted for it -- there will always be 1 or 2 people with different taste, you can't please everyone so you have to please yourself within reason (does that make sense?)

I'm having 8 BMs.....of course I've asked my MOH and 2 of my BMs if they like it but I kinda just said this is what I am thinking of choosing as a BM dress....so far they all like it or seem to like it -- what's funny is that they said it's your wedding so you get to pick it anyway
