What's your biggest saving

We all are spending more than we like but on occassion we get a deal. What were your deals?
I'll go first
1. 15% off my dress
2. Negotiated favors from $6 to $4.25
3. Got some of my centerpieces (crystal-like swan vases) on sale

1. 10% or 15% of my dress cant remember
2. Good price with the catering hall for a Sat night.
3. Dj - My sister is using them first so I got money off and she got some more money off.

My favors went from 4 bucks apiece to about $1.50 because we found a way to do them nicer ourselves!!

my dress...went from almost 1200$ to a lil under 700$

Also my favors they were close to 5$ each and got them on sale on black Friday last yr for about 1.50$ each!

GREAT thread!!

1. Got my hall to lower my minimum # of guests.
2. Negotiated a discount on my video.
3. Used my 'blocking rooms' trick
mentioned here to get my guests a GREAt rate

1. I got 15% off my dress
2. The girls got 15% off their dresses too
3. Saved maybe $1500 on the DJ because I know one of the owners.
4. Saved $2000 on video because FH used to work for them
5. Saved something on pictures because FH used to work for them
6. Will save something on flowers because my cousin owns a florist
7. Saved on the hall because my cousin knows the owner
8. Will hopefully use my cousin's discount for invitations and favors.

FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

only need rose petals for the CP's...and even though we could have saved even more $$ if we did silk petals--we opted for real ones.

having a small BP--i didn't need much in the flower dept. but in the end our pkge for flowers was LESS than $450 WITH delivery!

saving on limos to by just having 1

1. saved over $500 by getting my dress through netbride.com
2. The BM dresses will be $75 cheaper each through netbride.com....being that I'm paying for all seven as the gift that's a huge savings for me.
3. Got an awesome deal at Floral Terrace.
4. Saved with Patken because I know the salesgirl

Dress- $700- My mom bought me the lace & silk & My aunt will make it for me! Replica of a $3500 dress!

STDs- FREE! gift from a dear friend

Invites- Buying the at cost, also a gift from my dear friend

Woodlands- cut $20pp off price becacuse our date is FRIDAY the 13th!

BM dresses- 20% off from my aunt's boutique she works at

I have to say I negotiated my butt off (I wish ) with every vendor

-My mom paid for my dress in full, so I got 20% off
-My BM's got thier dress where I got mine, so they took 15% off
-I buy as many things as I can on e-bay

I have pretty lucky so far that I haven't had to negotiate with anyone on their prices, I managed to get them right in our price range.
The only thing I did get a great break on was the BM gifts. Their necklaces that were originally $70 and when I went back to buy them I got 50% then another 15% off- they were $29 each (I love Macys)

My favors! Had to travel from Queens to New Jersey for them but it was worth saving almost 75% on each waterford crystal favor!

1. I got my bm dresses down from 199 to $110
2. I got my mom's dress down from $895 to $545
3. I saved 15% on my dress
4. Saved about $500 on photography
5. Save $300 on my wedding band
6. Got my girl's jewelry sets down $300 each....
7. Saved $400 on the band.
