Re: What's your biggest saving
I have saved on every vendor I've booked so far, but I think the most significant savings was my dress:
I got 35% off retail by ordering from Phyllis

Re: What's your biggest saving
1. Favors: Ordered leather luggage tags through Lillian Vernon. Original price was $5.98 for 2 tags. Called sales office and negotiated price of $4 for 2 tags.
2. Saving BMs about 30% by going through Phyllis at Gownfind.
3. Negotiated great price on photo and video by getting both from one vendor.

This is just something I've learned from watching my mother do it. She never settles for no. It doesn't hurt to ask, and say it this way, 'is there something you can do on the price for me?' If they say no, you just reply, well, that is a little too much over my budget. And you overestimate what you want off. So if you want $300 off the price, then you ask for $500. And you know they won't give you 500, but they'll feel more comfortable with 300...and that is exactly what you wanted....
The dresses, I shopped around for prices, and wound up at gownfind....she was great with prices
I had coupons for their jewelry, and used a little of my charm with the manager at the jewelry store to get the jewelry cheaper and for them to use more than 1 coupon per customer...
you just have to ask, and look as if you are weary in buying what they are selling unless you can get it cheaper....it's hard to explain...sorry....my mom and I just are able to do this...lol

Re: What's your biggest saving
I bargained and saved on everything!
Flowers: had a coupon for free Bouquet so saved about $75 with that also had a few things thrown in. Also saved on tax b/c I am paying cash. DJ: just flat out asked if he can take off $200 – he said yes b/c he didn’t want to lose my business (plus he knows my family) Limo: had a $50 off coupon plus got the hummer for the price of the escalade Wedding bands: went to a new place (it was grand opening) and got our wedding bands for an amazing price (we basically got 50% off). Photographer/Video: paid cash so got it for cheaper (saved about $400) BM dress: since I have so many girls they took 15% off Wedding gown: got 10% off Honeymoon: dealt with a travel agent located in Maui, and got a great deal! (About $2000 cheaper compared to American Express Travel Agent)

Re: What's your biggest saving
All I can say is CASH CASH CASH!!!
- We got a lot of extras thrown into the reception - I am getting about 40% off my dress. - About 30% off Bridemaids dresses. - STDs we are doing ourselves - Cake Topper will be done myself - Bought the dollar garters from Target and I am embellishing them myself (making my own NY Ranger one with a pin I had from when I was little!) - Video is being done by FHs best friends company - great deal on limos - great deal on flowers - extras added into photography package - getting invitations through discount at work - DJ is a family friend so got a great deal
That is all I can think of right now. Doing a lot of DYI projects to lower cost and make more personal. AC Moore and Michael's coupons! Whoo hoo!!

I haven't booked flowers, photo, video or dj yet (damn I need to get movin!)....but so far this is where I've saved:
1) Got my price down at the hall by $5pp- despite already having great prices for a Saturday night
2) Haven't ordered it yet, but if I go through Lillette's I'll be getting $50 off my gown
