I believe you have 60 days b4 the wedding day. I know I have to go to my court house w/ FH and pick up the papers, sign and show birth certificates, driver's license, etc. But each county has different places and regulations. I would look at your city's marriage license requirements/regulations.

Re: When and how do I???
I think a month or four weeks before your wedding. I am not 100% percent sure.

YOu marriage license is valid for 60 days...but not valid until 24 hours after you apply. You have to go to Town hall to get it. You need your license and your Birth Certificate (I think) to get it and its $40-not sure on the price but I think thats it

Re: When and how do I???
take it from us, you don't want to wait until the last minute! we showed up with our birth certificates, baptismal certificates, passports, and drivers licenses.... AND WERE TOTALLY SHOT DOWN!
the website clause that shot us down was 'additional documentation may be requested'.
while we're the exception rather than the norm, I still strongly suggest you get it at least 6 weeks before the wedding....
