My mom actually met his parents under unfortunate circumstances..My FI and I had been in a car accident and they all met each other in the waiting room of Winthrop Hospital.

my mom came to visit me while I was in England and met his mom and sisters in march of 04 (his dad was in the USA at the time).
His family came just this past August to meet my family and see where the reception/church is going to be. It was very strange at first and luckily everyone got along. My dad is even planning on going to Europe toto go to FIs 'stag' weekend (wheverever that may be)

His parents came over to pay their respects after my mother's father died. My FH had just left also..so it was just me and all of them.

Rich's Mom came to my graduation party, and we had been dating a little over a year at that point. Both sets of parents 'officially' met after 2 years of dating (about 3 1/2 yrs ago) when my parents had his parents over for dinner one night. His parents are old though, and mine are young. His parents get along better with my Grandparents!

His parents met my mom just a few months after we were dating. I think they met my father probably at my birthday that first year, so probably 9 months into dating. His parents and my mom get along great...they invite each other everything, birthdays, holidays, special events.

the day that we got back from DC - and first saw my parents after we became engaged my mom told me I want to have FI parents over - a few days after that she gave me 3 different dates ....well they never responded - so they met 5 mts later at our e-party and in 3 weeks I will be engaged a year......FI parents just invited my parents over

Well my FILs are actually FH's aunt and uncle, I took my mom and FH's aunt shopping shortly after we got engaged and they got along great!! Then FH's aunt and uncle had a GTG the weekend before Christmas and they invited my mom over so to reciprocate my mom had them over for a BBQ this summer. They've yet to meet my dad bc he's in VA, for that matter my FH hasn't met him either!!

My parents didn't meet FI's parents until a few months before our engagement. We had already been dating 4 years before they met. Wait, my parents still haven't met FI's father though.
But, we're not worried - we're marrying each other and not each other's parents.

we were dating over 4 years before our parents met - when they did finally meet - neither myself or FH was there. it was @ an awards dinner that fh & i were supposed to go to - but skipped - so fh's parents went in our place. they all got along and everyone is happy.

My FH's parents met my parents before we were even officially dating. H was my date for the Junior prom and his parents brought himover to my house before the event

Us too. We arranged a dinner at a restaurant for our immediate families to meet. We left early for the restaurant to get their first, but both sets of parents beat there! They introduced themselves. Everything went very well when they met.

They met at our engagement/farewell party, right before we moved to Los Angeles. The haven't seen each other since. Iguess the next time they see eachother will be at the rehearsal dinner.

Jake's parents never met my Mom- she passed away last year- but they met my Dad at the wake
We had just gotten engaged the day she passed away- Jake wanted her to know that we were getting married before she died

Both of my FH parents are deceased (when he was 9 and 18), so my parents nor I never got a chance to meet them, only through photos and stories.

our parents met 2 years ago when his parents came up for a visit (they live in Florida). Our mothers have since gotten in the habit of checking in with each other privately. Kind of scary...

The first time they met is when FH and I were going to look at Floral Terrace we were going my parents said they weren't sure if they could make it and FH parents called us last miniute to say they wanted to come (It was the first hall that's why everyone wanted to be there). We got there and before you knew it both parent were pulling up..

We had a dinner/bbq. Invited the parents... then about an hour later all the siblings just in case the parents annoyed each other
