My daughter was just thinking about when she'll bustle her dress. She's thinking of doing it before she and her husband are introduced at the reception. She feels the train will be in the way while doing their first dance etc. What are you girls doing? Thanks.

Thats what I did....my MIL and bridal attendant bustle me before we were introduced

I bustled right before we were introduced. My train was so big, and I didn't want to trip on it. Plus, I loved how my dress looked bustled, so I wanted it bustled right after pics!

That's what I did too. I went to a wedding once where the bride didn't bustle her dress before being introduced so for their first dance, she had to hold the train over her arm. It made the whole back come up and you could see her slip. I thought it looked messy so I made sure to bustle mine before walking in to the reception.

I got Bustled after our First dance
my only advice is.....make sure the bustle will stay up. if you have to paid extra for more buttons or snaps or hooks or pins. Do it!!!!
Mine kept getting stepped on...finally the buttons broke....and i had to have the bridal attentant hook it with Saftey pins.

Me too. I don't have a long train - it's a chapel train - and I want to show it off during the dance. I will have to practice dancing in it to make sure I won't trip. :)
I think I will bustle mine for the CH and then unbustle for the beg of the reception, and then bustle again. As long as it's not too hard to do.
