fi and i looked in may at reception halls. couldn't decide when to get married or where. we narrowed it down to two. then got engaged in august. in dec my sister got engaged so we booked our hall a week after that. so we book in dec 06 for a may 08 wedding.
Booked in April '06 for July '07. And it was the last weekend date available for the entire month of July!!!!!! I can't believe how early these places get booked up.
We got engaged in November and booked in January
We got engaged December 06 and booked February 07 for a November 08 wedding. Unfortunately the popular places fill up fast but I am sure you still have plenty of options.
We booked it about 3 weeks after we got engaged (we booked the RH at the end of October 2006 for a July 2008 wedding).
It's overwhelming. I will book mine in the next week or so.
